Kids Incorporated

Updated on October 19, 2014

Kids Incorporated ...K I D S YEAH!

Kids Incorporated was a kid's TV show that ran from 1984 to 1996. The first two seasons were on NBC and the remaining seasons aired on the Disney Channel.

The main characters of the show ranged in age from 8 through mid teens. The show revolved around their band, named Kids Incorporated, which performed regularly at a local hangout called The P*lace. They played PG rated versions of pop music of the time. The songs usually had some connection to the plot of the episode.

I was a child of the 80s.

This was one show I could not miss when I was a kid. Singing and dancing and cute boys...what else could I ask for? When I was in 3rd grade I wanted to be Stacy's best friend and I may or may not have had a dream involving a fort made from tumble mats with Mickey inside it. LOL Gloria, Renee, The Kid...I loved all of them and wished I could go to The P*lace to meet 'em.

I watched every year until their hiatus in 1990. By then the cast had changed completely and I was getting too old for it. It's fun to remember now though. :)

Lyrics to the Theme Song

Everybody look around hear the sound,
Something special's going to come your way

We got something that is new that is true,
We got something just for you today

All around the nation, whoa oh, we're the new sensation
Have you heard, have you heard, have you heard

We're Kids Incorporated K I D S
Yeah Kids Incorporated K I D S

Whoa oh looks like we made it, we're kids incorporated

K I D S Kids Incorporated, we're gonna have fun
K I D S Kids Incorporated for everyone

We're Kids Incorporated K I D S
Yeah Kids Incorporated K I D S

Whoa oh looks like we made it, we're kids incorporated

K I D S YEAH!
