Mia Wasikowska
Mia Wasikowska
The first time I saw Mia Wasikowska was in Alice in Wonderland (2010) and I thought she was a wonderful Alice. It seemed like she just came out of nowhere to all of a sudden play a lead character in a Tim Burton movie alongside Johnny Depp. As it turns out, she really has only been acting for a short time.
In 2004, at the age of 15, she had her first role in an Australian television show called All Saints. From there she was in several Australian short films. In 2008 she made her American debut on the first season of the HBO drama In Treatment.
Mia won the Hollywood Breakthrough Award, Actress of the Year in 2010.
